# xanosdk profile add

> Store a meta API token credential under a name — the token is read from piped stdin or the terminal, and checked against the instance.

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
xanosdk profile add <name> [options]
```

## Flags

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--instance <url>` | Instance URL the meta API token addresses |
| `--workspace-id <n>` | Numeric workspace the meta API token acts on |
| `--force` | Replace a profile that already exists under this name |
| `--config <path>` | Explicit credential file (default: \$XANO\_CONFIG) |
| `--local-auth` | Use the project-local ./.xano/auth.json instead of the shared cache |
